Apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE)

Complete a Standard Therapeutic Use Exemption form and submit it to the Australian Sports Drug Medical Advisory Committee (ASDMAC) at PO Box 1744 FYSHWICK ACT 2609

The ASDMAC Standard TUE application form 'Request for approval for therapeutic use of a prohibited substance' is available in two formats.

TUE approval cannot be completed until a fully completed and signed of the current ASDMAC TUE application form is received.

Please attach and/or forward all relevant medical information that will assist the committee in its consideration of your request.

Once the application has been assessed ASDMAC will mail formal confirmation of its decision to the applicant.

The applicant’s doctor can discuss the TUE application with an ASDMAC member. In emergencies, a provisional TUE approval may be granted over the telephone. Such TUE approvals are subject to conditions.
